Religions, emotions, and ideaology are all real, but sometimes lead you to irrational conclusions.

My thoughts on Terri Schiavo.

Terri died 15 years ago.

Her body just doesn't know yet!

Let her body die!

Morality vs. God
IRVINE--The idea that morality is impossible without faith in God isan endlessly-repeated theme of several Fox News Channel talk showhosts. "This idea must be challenged," said Dr. YaronBrook, executive director of the Ayn Rand Institute.

"It implies that man has no reason or purpose to be moral; itimplies that no rational standard of morality is possible; it impliesthat in questions of morality man must suspend reason and blindly submit to faith or blindly obey some authority's'revelations' or 'mystical insights.' To imply that we have no earthly reason to be moral is profoundly immoral. "The purpose of morality," said Dr. Brook, "is todiscover and teach the principles that lead to life, achievement, happiness, success, joy. There is only one means to discover andunderstand these principles: reason. A proper morality, one for living on earth, requires rationality and independence of soul, not faith and obedience to self-appointed interpreters of an alleged omnipotent being. A proper morality looks not to the supernatural but at man's nature and the reason why he needs values--and then defines the values he must reach and the virtues he must practice toreach them.
Dr. Brook concluded: "Properly understood, not only does morality not require faith in God--morality is incompatible with faith in God. The moral is the rationally accepted and chosen, not the mindlessly believed and followed."

Quote This.....

When Alexander the Great visited Diogenes and asked whether he could do anything for the famed teacher, Diogenes replied: "Only stand out of my light." Perhaps some day we shall know how to heighten creativity. Until then, one of the best things we can do for creative men and women is to stand out of their light.

Ok, enough all ready!!!

Politics

Looks like the
Commies in Russia want to gain power again, but this time they have to use the enemies tools to do it. Capitalism Works!

Let's not forget
Gun Control in England! Or maybe that should be ax control.

Now on to the news.

Ellen Ratner is an idiot, in my dubious opinion. Her
latest attack is against Karen Hughes who was brought back into the Bush Administration to help our image abroad. She fails to mention that President Bush has had more women, blacks and Latinos holding higher office than any administration. I especially love her "favorite women" comment. Sounds a little sexist to me!

Sports:

Global Warming is now affecting the sports world. I'm surprised the Environmentalists haven't picked this up yet! Kerron Clement just broke the 400 meter dash set by Michael Johnson in 1995 with a time of 44.57. Must be due to Global Warming, less air density I would surmise.

Another Reason to Outlaw Public Schools

I read the Constitution again and can't find the article that allows the government to run the school system. Help me if you can! Why am I bringing this up? I read a story last week about an ignorant kid (it's one thing to be ignorant, it's another to profess it in public) who is suing the school board because the principal made him remove a shirt that said President Bush is the real terrorist. It seems the government is doing a lousy job of teaching basic principles of the great country. The student is saying his right of free speech is being violated. Unfortunately no such thing is happening. Here is a quick lesson on rights. You have no right of free speech on someone elses property. And since he is in a public school, hense part of my property, I don't want him saying that the President of our great country is the terrorist. Same thing applies to guns, you have no right to bear arms in MY house! Now as I have said before on my soon to be award winning internet radio show, The BigMoney, one way to start teaching kids is to get the government out of the education business. Yes, education is a Business! Why don't we let McDonalds, GM and Microsoft open their own schools. Then we can really start to educate the uneducatable (if that's a word!).

Going camping for Thanksgiving, became a ritual after my Dad's death, and was wondering if anybody has a recipe for marinating the turkey before I smoke it? Leave it in the comments, thanks. By the way last year I fell alseep before I put the cooler away and in the middle of the night a black bear snuck into camp and ripped open the cooler and took off with my turkey. Damn bear! Had to run to Walmart to get a couple of chickens 'cause mother was coming to the site. What a weekend.
What do you think of the new design? A big thank you goes out to Ciao! My bella! for the great design. More post to follow so keep tuned in!
